Jakarta, 06 October 2022 - IFMAC and WOODMAC 2022 exhibitions, the leading trade fairs in Indonesia for the furniture manufacturing components and woodworking machinery technology, closed its doors on 24th September 2022 on a highly positive note as it exceeded expectations with 11.225 Trade visitors from 22 countries.
IFMAC and WOODMAC 2022 return to physical edition after a 2-years postponement due to pandemic, and gathered participation from 108 exhibiting companies from 18 countries and regions - Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Finland, France, Gabon, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea Taiwan, Turkey, USA. Showcasing various furniture and woodworking machinery, accessories, assembly tools and components, software for furniture design, raw materials and solutions for interior works, adhesives, abrasive, paint, coatings and fitting needs to strengthen the Indonesian furniture industry. Over four days exhibition, exhibitors and visitors were delighted to get back doing business face to face , conducting live machines demonstration and business was back at the top of the agenda.
Complementing the exhibition are seminars and presentations, which were well-received by the visiting trade attendees. These industry-specific sessions ran concurrently with the exhibition and feature thought leaders and industry experts to answer the problems that arise in the Indonesian furniture industry as well as provide the latest insights on world furniture industry trends to Indonesian furniture industry players.
According to Shaun Yee, Marketing & Communications Specialist (APAC), Raute Corporation, “We are very happy to be back in IFMAC & WOODMAC, to see people, to interact, and to mingle again with customers. A lot of crowds came to our booth to see our products and watch our products demo also our experts here can explain more to them.” Similarly, Jowat Tri Purno Adianto, Chief Representative at Jowat Adhesive (Indonesia) express his saticfaction and said : “The exhibition is good. A lot of visitors came to our booth and we got a lot of new potential here.”
IFMAC and WOODMAC 2022 have also garnered the support of industry associations, Chairman of the Presidium of the Indonesian Furniture and Craft Industries (HIMKI), Abdul Sobur, said the use of technology could be a solution in competing with other countries. The use of adequate technology can not only increase the production capacity of the domestic industry, but also increase the efficiency of production costs. "To meet the export market, Indonesian industry players must shift from the old pattern to the usage of advanced technology. The cost of technology is not always high. Therefore, HIMKI invites furniture industry players to attend IFMAC & WOODMAC 2022 as a reference and motivation," said Abdul Sobur.
This statement was also supported by the Chairman of Indonesian Sawmill and Wood Working Association (ISWA), H.M Wiradadi Soeprayogo, said that IFMAC & WOODMAC exhibition was very beneficial for the furniture and wood processing industry to provide updates on the development of machinery technology. “The IFMAC & WOODMAC exhibition has been highly beneficial to Indonesia’s wood processing industry. IFMAC & WOODMAC is a must attend exhibition for wood processing industry players to learn about the latest developments in machining technology displayed at this exhibition," said Wiradadi Soeprayogo.
General Manager of PT. Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), Sofianto Widjaja, said that in order to boost the performance of the Indonesian furniture and craft business, it is expected that there will be good interaction between producers and suppliers at IFMAC & WOODMAC exhibition. "Given that IFMAC and WOODMAC unite from upstream to downstream a comprehensive spectrum of furniture production under one roof, the exhibition is proud to be the link for the entire industrial value chain that brings together the tools, fasteners and hardware needed for the entire furniture production and production process," said Sofianto Widjaja.
WAKENI's partnership with Deutsche Messe, which is the organizer of the world's largest woodworking exhibition, LIGNA, is attracting more European and other global companies to come explore the Indonesian market through IFMAC & WOODMAC.

The next edition of IFMAC & WOODMAC, will take place from 20 to 23 September 2023, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia. Space bookings are now open.
